I pulled up the lyrics from Pink Floyd’s Comfortably Numb to tweet them, of course, and I realized that the first three stanza’s, I guess you could say, kind of struck me in a different tone than I normally get from the words.
I automatically related it to the beginning of a relationship, kind of the lull that the beginning of a codependent relationship holds. The, “I’ll fix you, I’ll prove you wrong, I’ll put the pieces back together.”
Hello? Is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone at home?
Come on, now, I hear you’re feeling down. Well I can ease your pain, get you on your feet again
Relax, I’ll need some information first. Just the basic facts. Can you show me where it hurts?
